Amalgamation of Middle-belt Political Forces

I am monitoring reports that the Fulani want to avenge the deaths the suffered in the Mambilla hills of Taraba, that is Jukun Territory.

The rumors of this possible revenge attack by the Fulani do not take into account the violent militant history of the Jukun and they may yet be one of the few tribes in the middle-belt not to be defeated militarily.

Very few Nigerians know the warrior history of the Jukun and though numerically inferior to the Tiv the have battled and in some cases defeated them in numerous Jukun vs Tiv wars not given prominence in Middlebelt history.

The plot thickens now that their beloved son Lt. General TY Danjuma has seemingly broken ranks with the NW power block aka Kaduna mafia and issued a statement about a plot to islamize Nigeria.

This is no idle statement from a statesman who usually guards his utterances and truth be told it's a semi declaration of WAR, or intent at resistance.

The General is no ordinary citizen or statesman, he is one of the wealthiest Nigerians alive today on the heels of selling his company to a foreign conglomerate for over $3b, he has tentacles far and wide internationally

If the reported words of El Rufai that "anyone who kills a Fulani man has taken a debt that must be repaid etcetera cetera" are to be believed then you can believe that the militia will seek to exact vengeance on the Jukun and lesser animal tribes along the Taraba Benue axis.

The first attempt at vengeance may finally force the General to dedicate a fraction of his wealth towards arming his kinsmen towards defending itself against an invasion.

The General was seconded in his statement along with many other issues including anti grazing bills by Lt General Dongonyaro and Major General Zamani Lekwot of zagon kataf infamy both minorities and victims of NW manipulation under the auspices of the Northern Christian Elders forum that may become more vocal than the Norrhern (Muslim) elders forum.

Perhaps the growing sentization of the likes of these former statesmen around issues related to the victimization and bloodshed in The middle-belt may be the inspiration for the transition from calls for restraint to armed struggle against a pitiless invader.

It remains to be seen whether this unity will provide the spark to ignite the passions of the warrior tribes of the middlebelt or whether it will fizzle out and the region will continue to endure an invasion in helpless silence.
